OLYMPIC GAMES
This year, the upper cycle of Primary
Education has started a new subject in English: Physical Education. Every month
there are three pupils in charge of the material .We learn the vocabulary
linked to this material. Likewise, we are learning the new vocabulary related
to different sports. In fact, this term we have held the Olympic Games where we
have had the opportunity to practice some tests of athletics. Firstly, we
organized different teams which chose their name. Every team had one captain
responsible for writing the score of his/her peers.
In the first part of the Olympic Games, we trained the
high jump, triple salt and the long jump. The high jump has been really the
most liked!
The second part consisted of tests of velocity. Examples
of these are endurance race, speed and relay course. Some of the participants
were faster than the wind!
In the last part we worked alternative
abilities related to throws. These are the shot put and the javelin throw.
We have found out that English is the best way to know
more about these sports and practice them!
